American Red Cross Programs

Your Home CPR, LLC is proud to be a Licensed Training Partner of the American Red Cross.  Select an American Red Cross program below to see our schedule and register for class.  To filter programs by Training Site location you can use the dropdown box above.

    American Red Cross Basic Life Support

    The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult child and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of the course learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate.

    American Red Cross Basic Life Support Challenge Option

    The Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Challenge Course is specifically designed for experienced providers seeking to leverage their prior knowledge and skills to expedite their certification process. This streamlined option allows participants to save time while reaffirming their expertise in critical life-saving techniques.

    Experienced providers can capitalize on their past training and practical experiences, bypassing traditional classroom hours.

    Eligibility:

    • Current BLS Certificate Holders: Participant must hold a valid Basic Life Support certificate from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.  Successfully passing the challenge will extend the validity of their certificate by 2 years.

    Important Information:

    • Course Fees: All course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to other courses. 
    • Reassessment Opportunity: Participants who do not pass the challenge should consider enrolling in a full BLS course to fully prepare for certification and enhance their life-saving skills.

    Course Location and Schedule:

    • Red Cross Challenge Courses can be taken in one of our Training Sites and are scheduled upon request.  Appointments are taken Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 4pm.
    • Red Cross Challenge Courses can be completed remotely from your house by connecting with our instructor in Google Meets.  A CPR Equipment Package is shipped to you so you can participate in the program.

    After registration, our Training Coordinator will connect with you directly to confirm your date and time.  

    American Red Cross Advanced Life Support

    The American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ALS) course expands on course skills taught in Basic Life Support.  Advanced Lift Support courses are designed for professional healthare providers who participate in the assessment and management of critical patients, including those working in in-hospital, pre-hospital, and out-of-hospital medical facilities.

    This is a blended learning course that consists of online indepenent learning combined with hands-on skills practice.  Online learning will be emailed to each student upon registation for Advanced Life Support. 

    American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support

    The American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ALS) course expands on course skills taught in Basic Life Support.  Pediatric Advanced Lift Support courses are designed for professional healthare providers who participate in the assessment and management of critical pediatric patients, including those working in in-hospital, pre-hospital, and out-of-hospital medical facilities.

    This is a blended learning course that consists of online indepenent learning combined with hands-on skills practice.  Online learning will be emailed to each student upon registation for Pediatric Advanced Life Support. 

    American Heart Association Provider Classes

    These classes are designed for healthcare providers such as nurses, doctors, and allied healthcare providers.  Your Home CPR, LLC is an authorized American Heart Association Training Site and these courses result in an official American Heart Association Course Completion Certification.

      American Heart Association Basic Life Support

      American Heart Association Basic Life Support is the professional level CPR AED course commonly taken by healthcare providers.  This course is appropriate for nurses, doctors, dental professionals, and allied healthcare providers.  This course is accepted by all area hospitals, healthcare facilities, and college level nursing programs in our area.

      ACLS / PALS / BLS One Day Combo Class

      "One stop shopping for all your AHA needs!"

      The scheduling option is for providers that prefer a private class with our AHA Instructors.  You can save on the cost of your program fees by looking under our scheduled ACLS Provider classes at www.ScheduleCPR.com to join an open enrollment class. 


      This course option can be taken by experienced providers or first time leaners and results in THREE certificaitons from the American Heart Association:

      • American Heart Association BLS Provider
      • American Heart Association ACLS Provider
      • American Heart Association PALS Provider

      This is a two part program that consists of online indepenent learning combined with hands-on skills practice and skills testing with our American Heart Association instructors.  Hands-on skills practice and skills testing is an individualized and personalized class with our instructor scheduled at your convenience in our Ridgefield or Fairfield Training Site.

      American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
      The Advanced Cardiac Life Support course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
       
      American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
      The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.
       
      American Heart Association Heartcode ACLS

          Infant and Child Emergencies

          Thank you for learning with Your Home CPR, LLC!  You can take this class in one of our Training Sites OR in the comfort and privacy of your home.  This is a private class scheduled with our instructor and your family so you are welcome (and encouraged) to invite grandparents, nannies, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and friends to YOUR class!

          CT OEC Approved Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

          Connecticut's Office of Early Childhood has approved specific first aid courses that may be attended by licensed child care centers and group child care homes.  These courses must include at least 6 hours of face-to-face instruction (which may be by video) and must include a hands-on demonstration of your ability to provide first aid.  Upon completion of this course, the certificate issued will reflect the exact course name as listed below:

          This course contains online learning which must be completed prior to joining our instructor in a training site.  Access to the video based learning portion of your class will be emailed within 12 hours of registration.

          Your Home CPR, LLC is an authorized American Heart Association Training Site and is proud to offer the American Heart Association BLS Instructor Essentials program!  This course qualifies the instructor candidate to become and American Heart Association BLS Instructor and teach the BLS Provider and Heartsaver brand of programs.

          Becoming an American Heart Association instructor involves three steps:

          1. Online Independent Learning (Completed Online)
          2. Faculty-Led Training (Completed at a YHCPR Training Site)
          3. Course Observation and Monitoring (Completed at YOUR classes with YOUR students)

          Course registration fees include all required portions of the AHA's Instructor Essentials Program and BLS Instructor Manual with course lesson plans.
